To Seishin Shotokan

Seishin Shotokan Karate Club was established by Sensei Antony Steventon in 2009
and is based in Brownhills, near Walsall in the West Midlands, UK.
The club has excellent training facilities and plenty of free secure parking.

Affiliated directly to A.S.K with Sensei Dave Hazard our aim is teach our students the true
spirit of Shotokan karate with emphasis on self discipline, etiquette and respect for all.
Regular training sessions are held on Monday & Wednesday evenings along with a
fitness class on Wednesday's for over 16's only. We host regular gradings with Sensei Hazard.
Our dedicated instructors and coaches are fully insured. They are also first aid trained,
DBS checked and cleared to work with children.




Seishin, literally means 'Spirit' a necessity required in training Shotokan karate.
With regular training at the Seishin dojo, you will become more confident, have better
concentration, flexibility and strength - all key things for building 'spirit'.

Karate training has also been proven to enhance children's concentration and discipline,
which has been seen to directly have a positive effect on school work. Seishin has an open door
policy welcoming all students who wish to participate in any of it's classes no matter what their
fitness level, social background or ability in a friendly atmosphere.

Monday
7.00 - 7.45, 7 to 14 year olds
8.00 - 9.00, 14's and over

Wednesday
7.00 - 8.00, children and adults together
8.00 - 9.00, Fitness Class for over 16's only

 

INSTRUCTORS

Antony Steventon

Grade: 4th Dan

Started Training: 1988

Training History: Chief Instructor Antony Steventon began training in 1988 at a local club 'The Mount'. He Achieved shodan at the age of
11 and returned from a short break in training to Walsall Shotokan club and picked up where he
left off.

He graded up to 4th Dan, under Sensei Asano
and regularly trains with various people across
the country to constantly evolve his karate.

He is now studying Shotokan Karate at a
deeper level under the guidance of Sensei
Dave Hazard 7th Dan.


Antoney Steventon

Ed Bailes

Grade: 2nd Dan

Started Training: 2002

Training History: Ed started training 2002
passed shodan in 2005 under Sensei Asano.
Currently a nidan Ed, is assistant instuctor
helping students develop their technique
and progress through their sylabus.
